After 20 years of studies, legislation, action plans and crackdowns we still have major problems
with drink, drugs and violence – isn’t it about time the police were allowed to get tough on crime
As we get closer to a leadership
battle and the next general election
in less than two years the
claims made by politicians from
all sides become more and more
incredible. The problem is that they talk
about action plans, crackdowns
and getting tough on crime but
most of it is just rhetoric. It’s time
