The Cycleogical Bike Ride 2019

Are you an experienced cyclist up for an extreme challenge in 2019?

On 22nd June 2019, 23 riders from 23 forces will take on 230 miles in 24 hours all in support of the PTC’s Psychological Wellbeing Programme.

The Cycleogical Bike Ride will start at our Centres in Auchterarder and take in the scenery all the way to our Centres in Harrogate.

We hope to have the best rider from each of our constituent forces to make up the elite PTC Peloton. Each rider will buddy up with a ‘fundraiser’ within their force and will be set the target to raise at least £1.00 for each officer in their force, eligible for treatment at the Centres.

In return for their commitment to the Centres, each rider would receive;

  • accommodation in Auchterarder on Friday 21st June
  • accommodation in Harrogate on Saturday 22nd June
  • meals
  • entry into our Back on the Beat Sportive as a chance to meet your peloton team mates

The money raised from this amazing challenge will be used to support the expansion of our Psychological Wellbeing Programme. The PTC is seeing an increasing need for Wellbeing Support and we feel it is our responsibility to meet this need. We will achieve this through the expansion of facilities and real estate for the programme, utilising money received in the recent LIBOR fine process.

We hope to have received details of all of our riders by 1st December 2018.

If you are a seasoned rider, up for a challenge, or know someone who is please get in touch with the Police Treatment Centres.
